Criteria


UWC looks for active students who accept and promote the values ​​of the UWC movement in their everyday life. We seek out students who are curious about new cultures and meeting people from different countries. The students should have a desire to make positive changes in their environment and to spread the ideals of the UWC movement. UWC educates future world leaders and therefore, we search for students who have shown activity and initiative in their communities, whether it concerns the academic, sport or cultural life, or in the NGO sector in general. At the same time, we want students who accept completely different activities and try to create a symbiosis between the various activities they are involved in, as well as students who accept the teamwork as a necessary, positive emergence in the communities.

     Academically, the students must be hard working and conscientious students who express affinities for certain subjects, regardless of the subjects and the previous success demonstrated in them. Also, all students must have knowledge of English, the language in which the IB program is taught.
 
The formal criteria are the following:

1. All applicants must be second year students in high school.

2. All applicants must have a secondary school grade average higher than 4.50.

3. All applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and / or have lived in Macedonia for at least 5 years.

4. All applicants must follow the rules for application of the Macedonian National Committee.

5. All applicants must be prepared to be ambassadors of the Republic of Macedonia in the UWC colleges and to represent the country during their residency in the next two years.
